Users are allowed to post 20 snippets each month, and while the site is invite-only, each user receives five invitations to send at will.
We showed you a similar idea, Forrst, a couple months ago. This prettily laid-out site featured sharing and Q&A tools for both developers and designers. And a while before that, we showed you Dribbble, a microformat site specifically for designers only.
While not as visually flashy as the sites mentioned above, Codesnippit does have a few all-important features that make it stand out. For one thing, you can actually categorize the kind of code you’re posting, from ASP to Zend. This is a vital feature for any site that asks users to post and search for code, and it’s something that otherwise awesome tools (such as UseTheSource, for example) are missing.
Codesnippit is brought to you by front-end web app developer Amber Weinberg and her fiancé Nikita Makeyev. The duo also recently brought on a third developer, Isaac Van Name.
